Wasps

Now I'm a fan of Wasps the rugby sort not the wasp sort.  Yesterday OH decided to lay insulation in our loft but this was brought to an abrupt end when he saw this!

There were no sign of the nasty stingy things probably due to the time of year it was freezing up there.  So tomorrow OH plans to contact the exterminators.

Meanwhile good luck to Wasps who face Newcastle Falcons later this afternoon.

Here we are at the start of a new year, a new decade even.  I chose this picture which I took at Virgina Water on Boxing Day.  I enjoyed a long crisp icy walk with the family.  I plan to do more of this in 2010.

Sick or not sick that is the question

The chickens are looking at me from the pen, it seems as if they are wondering why I am here and if I am here why they are not let into the garden. I have been sick with flu this morning I am up but not yet well enough to go back to work. I guess I need one more restful day.



It's funny but I want this blog to be about thing that are uplifting to me, yet her I am sick and realising that the conservatory in November is not a cosy place to be I think I will get a snuggle blanket. It is however the best place to sit in the light which is always uplifting.


As you can probably see from the light and lush growth in the picture this was taken in August not November, but as I look to the sky I see that it is blue only one wispy white cloud and the birches are not moving so hardly any wind. I am making a promise to myself to venture out for a short walk just as soon as it gets a little nearer noon.
